A quick thank you

We’d just like to say thank you to everyone who has been supporting Irregular Magazine.
We’ve had lots of positive feedback – and it’s good to know you like Issue 1.

With well over 1000 visitors to the main site http://www.irregularmagazine.com, it’s safe to say a lot of people have downloaded a copy in the past week – completely exceeding our expectations.

A special thank you goes to all the forums, blogs and twitterers who have spread the word about the issue around the world. Site statistics are always fun to view, but it’s been amazing to see people coming to the site from so many different places.

The magazine is currently only available in English – but if anyone is interested in translating it for us we’d love to hear from you. (irregularmagazine@googlemail.com)

I would like to emphasize that we are looking for contributions for issue 2, and are very excited about some of the suggestions we’ve been getting already.

Sci-fi competition
If you fancy yourself as a Sci-fi writer, please have a go at our short story competition – just base it on the Commader character from the issue 1 cover art. The 1st prize is printed copy of the cover art from issue 1 (without any of the magazine bits on it), and it will be signed by the artist Matthew Mella, that’s on top of the winner and runner up getting their stories printed in issue 2!
Deadline is August 9th, so get your fingers busy!

If you do have any comments (good or bad) about the magazine, we’d love to hear from you – so issue 2 can be even better. Contact Editor Jason Hubbard, at irregularmagazine@googlemail.com

And once again, thank you for your support!

Glad you like it Jason – and you have some nice painted minis on your website – would you consider writing an article in the future?

    • jason wiebe Says:

I would be happy to contribute an article, but I don’t paint minis very often. I am a full-time miniature sculptor, and my website contains pictures of miniatures I have sculpted :). They’ve been painted by a variety of skilled painters.

oops! Just posted a list of useful sculpting resources as well!
A sculpting 101 would go down well I’m sure for the magazine. Let us know if you have any ideas 🙂
