Road Warrior – the Result

by

A real close match this month, made closer by the fact there were only two entries. Hopefully June’s Alien Skin challenge will get some more members entering.

Scores are worked out by adding both the totals for theme and for style and then divided by the number of voters to create an average score out of 20.

Below are the results of the vote for the May painting challenge, Road Warrior.

  • Entry B: Airbourne Recon – 14.63  (2nd)
  • Entry A: Charon – 15.68 (1st)

So the winner of the May painting challenge is Ricalope Jesson with his fantastic Charon. Please get in touch with use so we can send you the Merit Award trophy (as sponsored by Jonathan Shaw and BMF painting).

Below are the results for the style and theme breakdowns:

Theme

  • Entry A – Charon – 7.54
  • Entry B – Airbourne Recon – 7.59

Style

  • Entry B – Airbourne Recon – 7.04
  • Entry A – Charon – 8.13

Congratulations to both entrants!

The June painting challenge has recently started and the theme this month is: Alien Skin, can’t wait to see what you produce!

For those members in the UK, don’t forget to think about your entries for the Golden Imp Awards if you’re coming to IMP (Irregular Miniature Paintfest) in Sheffield on July 31st – we’ll have lots more details about the competition online soon.

Also – please bring your recent work to FigureWorld in Mansfield on July 10th, as we’d love to see it on the SI display table (and if you display at least 3 pieces you get included in the draw to win a Celt bust). Plus it should be a fun day, and we’d love to see you there.

Hey Brian – the voting form link is always on the same page as the entries. Hope you’ll find it when we vote on the June challenge Alien Skin in a few weeks.
