Rubble painting challenge

January 22, 2011

February is nearly here, so it’s time to unveil our upcoming painting challenge, although it could be seen as more of a basing challenge!

The theme for February is: Rubble.

Wounded painting challenge: voting

January 10, 2011

Sadly there were only two entries for the Dec/Jan painting challenge: Wounded. Clearly you were all distracted over the holidays by other things!

The two entries we have are real crackers though, I think they’ve both nailed the theme – but what do you think?

Red Challenge: time to vote

November 30, 2010

The November painting challenge theme was: Red, and we’ve had some really great entries.

Please take time to look through them all A to G and use our form (link at bottom of page) to score each out of a possible 10 for how well they meet the theme (Red) and out of another 10 for style.

Remember this not about ‘the best painting’. Award style points for overall look, concept, awesome pose, cool base etc.

Please leave some helpful and friendly comments for each of our entrants, this is the place to leave tips, or point out (nicely) where to make improvements to improve the piece.

Get painting!

November 1, 2010

The November painting challenge has started! Remember the theme is: RED, you’ve got until the last Sunday of the month to paint up your entry and get it photographed, but don’t leave it till the last minute.

Painting challenges

October 8, 2010

I think we’re all aware that interest in the painting challenges has been declining over the past few months.

The discussion running on the group over on Facebook at the moment seems to point to the themes not captivating enough interest – but everyone still likes the challenges. So, we’re going to spend October listening to your feedback and bring the painting challenge back in November, with a simple theme designed to have broad appeal.

In the meantime, we’d love to hear your thoughts on the subject, and we hope you’ll join in the November painting challenge.

September update

September 6, 2010

Sorry for the lack of posts – since IMP I have been no stop with my job, writing articles for Irregular Magazine and working on my entry for the UK Golden Demon competition.

But it is indeed September already, so a few updates are appropriate. Read on for challenges, competitions and events.
