May 4, 2010

The voting has closed for the scenery challenge, and I’m sure our two competitors have been waiting with bated breath for the outcome.

As there are only two entries, I’ve listed both the results and the feedback in this post, but first the results…

Scenery challenge – the vote

April 26, 2010

Way back in October the scenery challenge started and it ran for a good few months so that those entering could really spend some time on their constructions. The challenge closed back in March, and I’m very sorry that we haven’t got the vote up online until now (due to admins moving house and having no internet).

Below you will find the finished scenery pieces and a short description of each, part of the challenge was to produce a WIP and there are links to where you can find these for each entry, so you can really see what went into each one. I recommend having a read through of these, or at least a scroll through before you vote.

More people entered than finished, so there are only two entries below.

Fly the Flag – the Results

December 6, 2009

The winner of this month’s Merit Award will now be revealed…

The scoring works like this, voters mark each entry (except their own) out of 10 for theme  (Fly the Flag) and style. These scores are added together and divided by the number of voters to create a total, average score. The highest score wins the Merit Award trophy, sponsored by Jonathan Shaw of BMF painting.

Fly the Flag – Feedback

December 6, 2009

Huge thanks to everyone who took the time to comment whilst voting on the entries for the November painting challenge.

The theme for the November painting challenge was: Fly the Flag and some fantastic entries were produced by painters with a broad range of experience, which was really nice to see.

We also had a record number of voters again, a really great turn out – thank you all for taking the time to get involved.

Feedback for the Oct painting challenge

October 31, 2009

The voting has closed. I think we have a record number of voters this month. Huge thanks to all those who took the time to vote and comment.

The October challenge theme was: Winter’s Touch, so snow was a common feature on many of the entries.

We had a few first time challengers this month – it’s always good to see new members taking part. I hope you all enjoyed it!

The results of how each entry fared on theme and style – as well as how it ranked overall will be posted later this evening.

You decide

October 13, 2009

Voting for themes up to 3 months in advance seems to be working out well, so it’s about time to decide what painting challenge themes we’ll be facing over Christmas and into the new year.

The December challenge will run into January, as we know that everyone is too busy over the holidays to remember to post pictures, so you get a couple of extra weeks as the deadline will be January 10th.  There will not be a separate January challenge.

As the festive season is approaching there is a separate poll just for the December painting challenge, with some suggestions that are inspired by the season.

Please pick your fav 2 themes, the one with the most votes will become the Decemeber challenge.

*Poll is now closed*
