Sadly there were only two entries for the Dec/Jan painting challenge: Wounded. Clearly you were all distracted over the holidays by other things!

The two entries we have are real crackers though, I think they’ve both nailed the theme – but what do you think?

Still, 3 is enough for a vote, so the photos are uploaded and the form has been created. You know the drill by now, and if not – you need to read this first!

The winner of this month’s Merit Award will now be revealed…

The scoring works like this, voters mark each entry (except their own) out of 10 for theme  (Fly the Flag) and style. These scores are added together and divided by the number of voters to create a total, average score. The highest score wins the Merit Award trophy, sponsored by Jonathan Shaw of BMF painting.

Yes, the monthly painting challenge now has a physical prize to go alongside the kudos and braggin rights that come with being presented the Merit Award.
